The Swingle Singers – Jazz Sebastian Bach #moonbaseessentials

Jazz Sebastian BachThis is the album whose 50th anniversary last year prompted us to dedicate a whole show to the work of The Swingle Singers (PMB163 In Close Harmony – At Least 50 Years of the Swingle Singers).

Jacques Loussier may have been the first to jazz up J. S. Bach in the late 50s but it was the Swingle Singers, formed by Ward Swingle in Paris in 1962, who were the first to give Bach the a capella treatment. The result is a completely new and quite heavenly sound. It’s for this reason that this milestone recording earns our recommendation as an essential album for your collection.

Hurry to Amazon and get The Swingle Singers – Jazz Sebastian Bach, dear listener.
