Japanese Virtual Pop Star Hatsune Miku Performs ‘Sharing The World’ On Letterman Show – the future of pop? Video

This is Japanese virtual pop star Hatsune Miku performing her smash hit ‘Sharing The World’ on the Late Show with David Letterman.

The next phase will be replacing the real song writer with a virtual song writer, then replacing the real musicians with virtual musicians, then replacing the real fans with virtual fans, then finally replacing the entire Japanese economy with a virtual Japanese economy, putting the whole thing on a server and shooting it into space for some reason. It’s the future and if you want to argue with it you’re already irrelevant.

Yet more proof that Japan is either leading us into a super-cute techno-utopian paradise future dream or the final spasms of human creativity before it explodes in twinkly shower of pointlessness, like Hatsune Miku does at the end of her performance.

Let’s have a heated debate: virtual pop stars: YAY WOO etc or 1000 TIMES NO? What do you think?
