Autobahn – Kraftwerk – 1974 – Organ – Cover
In case you have not had your fill of Autobahn(s), here’s another version. We mentioned this on our Autobahns show: wall to wall covers of Kraftwerk’s Autobahn. This is a rousing rendition in a church mode, played by transgendered musician Denise Hewitt on a Technics SX-PR60 Digital Keyboard. We watched the whole way through, hoping against hope for a vocal intervention from Denise, but it was not to be. However the video does offer a delightful juxtaposition of Denise in her livingroom with photos (all taken by Denise “on the road”) of a 4.6 Litre V8 “Lincoln Town Car” across the South-Western USA – Monument Valley, Capitol Reef and Route 50 – Reno to Eureka – Nevada. A delight.
